Homemade Pizza
Crust:
1 cup warm water (115 degrees F)
1 teaspoon white sugar
2 teaspoons active dry yeast
2 tablespoons olive oil
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Toppings:
(optional)
1 1/2 cup marinara sauce
2 cups mozzarella cheese
handful of fresh oregano and thyme
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F
In a medium bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let stand for 10 min.
Add olive oil to water mixture then add to a large bowl with flour and salt. Beat until smooth.
(optional for a fluffier crust: let rise for 5 minutes)
Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and pat and roll into a circle.
Tranfer dough onto a lightly greased pizza pan or cookie sheet.
(optional: sprinkle corn mean on the greased pan)
Add sauce, toppings and cheese as desired.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
